Increasing Energy and Material Consumption Efficiency by Application of Material and Energy Flow Cost Accounting System (Case Study: Turbine Blade Production)

It is often difficult to extract data on material and energy wastes related costs in the value chain of manufacturing products. Many organizations are not fully aware actual wastes. For this purpose, advanced costing methods should be used. case study, we used flow cost accounting (MEFCA) determine costs, losses, waste management turbine blades at Iran Power Plant Company. Using extracted data, were studied. The conventional method production machining method, which produces a significant amount waste. By studying different methods, found that there an alternative called forging, reduces losses costs. Finally, two compared. Engineering economics techniques also compare long-term planning horizon.
